Half Day Tour to Um Qais from Amman

Tour Information:

Our Tour Egypt Travel® representative will drive you from your hotel in Amman for an hour and half to the north to Umm Qais, the ancient Gadara, mentioned in the Bible in relation to Gadarene swine miracle (Mathew 8:28-34). Um Quais was located close to the trade route between Palestine and Syria, and became a member of the Decapolis during the Roman reign. As cultural centre with a cosmopolitan atmosphere it was home to several classic poets and philosophers. Today you may witness the Greco-Roman remains like the black basalt theatre, colonnaded street, a basilica and a Nymphaeum.

Tour Voucher

After your tour is confirmed we will email final confirmation and voucher to print and bring with you. Details will include contact numbers of your tour operator and customer care and additional information for your convenience.

 Cancellation Policy

Tour Egypt Travel® does not charge a cancellation fee for tours and excursions canceled for ‘force majeure’ reasons such as volcanoes, earthquakes, or reasons beyond control. If cancellation happens due to personal or business reasons and TourEgyptTravel® has already incurred costs on your behalf, these costs will be transferred to you.
